2013. I tried to start a t-shirt company called Taurus with my friends . The idea behind the priliminary desgins was to have a large, red, wax stamp seal on the back of the shirt. Though nothing was produced from the attempt. The closest to anything happening was a negotiation over the purchase of the social media accounts of an existing small streetwear brand.
2015. I helped my friend in renovating a bungalow his Dad wanted to sell.
2016. Nik's dad leant his son the money to buy a house in a partnership with myself. The deal we agreed on was that I would recieve 25% of the profit. This was seen as a terrible deal by my parents and they tried to dissuade me from entering into business with Nik but I wasn't willing to listen. I shouted and shouted at them in an attempt to bully my points through but they were not wrong and they did not budge. Actually, I cried during that argument. My mom often recounts how down I was during this time. We bought a terraced house in Langley Mill for £50,000 and sold it for £79,500 15 months later.
Alongside the renovation with Nik, I was also heavily involved in the renovation of an old casino in Derby for what was to become my Dad's bar. The bar, The Art House, was a music venue and an exhibition space for Derby University Art students. I went on to manage that bar but after having done a significant amount of bar work since, it is clear that I didn't really have any idea of what to do I was simply trying my best for the sake of helping out my Dad. Perhaps, the most help I could have given his was being honest and refusing to help him throughout.
2017. After moving to Manchester to start my Economics BSc, I started an events company with my school friend who was studying at the same university. SOAP Events MCR held 2 sold out events in Manchester.
2019. Not a vast amount to report on here. I have restarted my coding journey in the last 50 days. My aim current aim is to be able to devlop websites and apps for both Android and iOs
